1. Bakelite, also known as phenolic plastic, is a synthetic polymer resin material. It was invented in 1907 by the Belgian-American, chemist and inventor Beckland. It is a thermosetting plastic.
2. At present, the commonly used bakelite is made of phenolic plastics, wood chips, asbestos and clay and other substances.
3. Because it was originally widely used in the field of electrical appliances, it is commonly known as "bakelite". Later, because of some characteristics of wood, it was also called "bakelite".

Excellent properties of bakelite:

Bakelite products have advantages that cannot be compared with conventional plastics:

1. Good texture: there is no miniature of conventional plastic products.
2. Heavy feel: It brings users an excellent sense of experience, and its density reaches about 1.7.
3. Chemical resistance: compatible with all pastes.
4. Good safety: non-toxic and odorless, with absolute safety of use, no impact on human health.
5. Bakelite has the advantages of high temperature resistance, non-toxic, high density, good insulation, water resistance, strong corrosion resistance, and high mechanical strength.
6. Bakelite has strong acid resistance, mechanical properties and heat resistance.

Environmental Protection & Safety:

1. Bakelite is a synthetic plastic, the composition is mainly composed of organic matter, and its use greatly reduces the consumption of petrochemical and energy resources.
2. About 20% of the wood pulp is in the composition of bakelite, so that its solid waste will naturally decompose and degrade under natural conditions.
3. Due to its non-toxic properties, the solid waste of bakelite will not bring harmful substances to the environment, soil and water resources, not causing environmental pollution.
4. Bakelite die casting does not produce harmful gases in the production process, does not cause air pollution in the process, and does not cause harm to the health of production workers.
5. Waste bakelite products can be reused, such as roadbed, runway and other applications.

Bakelite Applications:

1. Daily chemical products: all kinds of cosmetic containers, including glass bottle caps, perfumes, drunken container accessories, hose caps, makeup containers, cream containers, pump head covers, etc.
2. Daily necessities: daily tableware, kitchen supplies and daily decorations, etc.
3. Automobile manufacturing: often used in the manufacturing of various brake friction plates, interior accessories, etc.
4. Electronic appliances: often used in the manufacturing of sockets, plugs, switches and other electrical parts.
