Features of Wave Soldering Fixtures:
1. High material strength, facilitating precision machining.
2. High temperature resistance, good dimensional stability, and resistant to deformation.
3. Good thermal conductivity, allowing heat to be quickly and evenly transferred to the circuit board during soldering.
4. Corrosion resistance, resistant to flux and cleaning agents.
5. Meets anti-static requirements.
6. When used in environmentally friendly products, it must also meet environmental protection requirements.
7. Moisture-proof and provides good electrical insulation.
The role of pallet in wave soldering:
1. Prevents PCB deformation due to excessive temperature
2. Protects SMD components, allowing the PCB to safely pass through wave soldering
3. Provides good support for thin substrates or flexible circuit boards
4. Improve solder flow
5. Eliminate solder skipping
6. Eliminates hand masking
7. Reduces soldering defects and rework
We can design and make pallet for customers. Please kindly advise below information to design pallets as your request.
a. CAD machined drawing or 3D drawings (such as STP, STEP, IGS, IGES etc.) of wave solder pallets
b. Gerber file of PCB board(Bare)+Sample PCBA Board(Loaded)
c. Photos of previously assembled boards (if available)
d. Special instructions
The cleaning of wave solder pallets:
1, Ultrasonic cleaning and drying should be used during normal operating cycles to increase the durability of the pallet.
If the fixture is not cleaned for a long time, flux residue will accelerate corrosion, leading to a shorter lifespan.
2, When using flux and cleaning solutions, it is recommended to use solvents with a low PH value.
Solder Pallet material is not resistant to acids, alkalis, or alcohol; It should not be wiped with alcohol.
Typical application of wave solder pallets:
1) Double-sided mixed assembly process, where components are on the back and the process is not red glue application
2) When the component body extends beyond the edge of the PCB board and cannot pass through the solder bath
3) When PCBs are manufactured in a panel or array, it is prone to deform at high temperatures
